This Privacy Policy explains how VenCart collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the VenCart mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as username, name, email address, phone number, gender, and address.
- Location information that you choose to provide for delivery areas, order fulfillment, and nearby product discovery.
- Product and order information including listings, prices, delivery zones, order history, and chat content related to orders.
- Photos and files that you upload, such as profile images or product images.
- Technical information needed to operate the app, such as device identifiers, notification tokens, and sign-in provider information.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your VenCart account.
- To show marketplace products, seller delivery areas, and buyer order details.
- To enable chat, notifications, authentication, payment follow-up, and customer support.
- To improve app reliability, security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce platform rules.
Third-Party Services
VenCart uses third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
- Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Notifications.
- Google Maps and location services for map-based delivery areas and address selection.
- Google Sign-In when you choose Google authentication.
Permissions
- Camera and photo access are used to upload product images.
- Location permission is used for delivery location selection and nearby product experiences.
- Notification permission is used to send order, chat, and service updates.
- Internet and network access are used to connect with Firebase and app services.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep account and marketplace data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in the mobile app from Profile > Personal Information > Delete My Account.
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion using the instructions on the account deletion page at /account-deletion.html.
Security
We use platform security features, authentication controls, and access rules designed to protect user data. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce unnecessary exposure and limit access to authorized systems.
Children's Privacy
VenCart is not intended for children under the age required by local law to use a marketplace service independently. If you believe a child has provided personal information without authorization, contact us to request removal.
